Operational changes in response to the COVID-19 Alert Level 4

25 March 2020

We want to assure everyone that at this time our service continues to operate. Business continuity is incredibly important to us and the people we are here to serve.

However, at 11.59pm, Wednesday, 25 March and until further notice, our offices in Hamilton and Tauranga have been closed to everyone other than staff who may need to enter the building to undertake their work.  As a result of COVID-19 Alert Level 4, we are also no longer able to meet people in person to provide support in a face-to-face way.

We are however maintaining communications with all the people we work with and people enquiring about support for homelessness by telephone, text messaging and email to ensure business continuity.

We are also continuing to provide wraparound assistance to people we have supported into homes – with adjustments to how we work to ensure we are maintaining physical distancing.

We are enormously grateful for the dedication, high standards and understanding of everyone who works alongside The People’s Project in the environment in which we all find ourselves.

If you have specific questions on any of these changes, please don’t hesitate to contact our offices by email or phone.
